In the novella “The Angel’s Ballad,” Lucas Kirby, a high school student, finds a guitar at a yard sale that summons a beautiful but merciless angel. In “The Restroom Haunt,” Spencer Hawkins, an attorney, meets his fate at the hands of a psychotic troll who resides in the basement of the high-rise building.
